Pijnacker, 19 september 2007 – ChipsAway is de specialist in cosmetisch herstel van carrosserie en interieur van auto’s. Met 26 specialisten in Nederland is de franchiseorganisatie goed op weg om een landelijk netwerk te realiseren. De ChipsAway formule richtte zich tot nog toe voornamelijk op dealers, maar met de opening van het Car Care Centre begeeft ChipsAway zich nu ook aktief op de particuliere markt. Vanaf september 2007 kunnen particulieren met cosmetische autoschade in Groningen en omstreken terecht bij het CA Car Care Centre van Peter Kroes die al 7 jaar ervaring heeft als ChipsAway specialist.

Nieuwe uitdaging

Zeven jaar geleden was Peter Kroes een van de eerste franchisenemers van ChipsAway in Nederland. Na een gedegen opleiding op het hoofdkantoor wist hij al snel een succes te maken van zijn kersverse bedrijf. De klantenkring die vooral bestond uit autodealers groeide en Kroes nam personeel in dienst om aan alle werkopdrachten te kunnen voldoen. Na 7 jaar een zeer succesvol bedrijf gerund te hebben, kreeg Kroes zin in een nieuwe uitdaging: hij wilde de particulieren markt aanboren. Samen met franchisegever van Nederland Mark Hamilton is hij naar het internationale hoofdkantoor van ChipsAway in Engeland gegaan om te zien hoe de CA Car Care Centres daar zijn opgezet. Zijn besluit was genomen en in september 2007 is het eerste ChipsAway Car Care Centre van Nederland officiëel geopend.

ChipsAway BV is onderdeel van het wereldwijde netwerk van ChipsAway International met meer dan 2000 specialisten in 15 landen. In 1999 startte ChipsAway in Nederland. Momenteel heeft de franchiseorganisatie 26 specialisten rondrijden. Door de mobiele units en de hoogwaardige techniek is ChipsAway in staat herstelwerkzaamheden aan auto’s snel en vakkundig uit te voeren. ChipsAway herstelt autoschade op een door de (business)klant (o.a. autodealers, wagenparken van grote bedrijven, autoverhuurbedrijven, leasemaatschappijen), gewenste (bedrijfs)locatie en particulieren kunnen nu bij het CA Car Care Centre terecht.  De dienstverlening van ChipsAway is niet alleen kostenbesparend, maar biedt de klant ook gemak en tijdsbesparing.

ChipsAway Group and Myhome International join forces

ChipsAway International Limited is to merge with Myhome International plc, a specialist group of home services franchises, creating a powerful new force in European franchising and one of the largest enterprises of its type in the World.  Existing Myhome businesses include Nicenstripy, Oven Clean, PlumbXpress, and ElecXpress (for more information see www.myhomeplc.com).

The addition of ChipsAway is a significant development for the enlarged Group, bringing the total number of Myhome franchise brands to twelve and doubling the group’s franchisee base to over 800.

All key ChipsAway Group Directors, including Roger Wild and Steve Bignell will remain with the business for the next several years.  According to Group Chief Executive, Lloyd Evans only beneficial changes will result.

U.S. DEAL CONFIRMS CHIPSAWAY AS GLOBAL LEADER

In a surprise move, one of Europe’s leading franchise organisations, ChipsAway International, has taken the highly unusual step of acquiring the worldwide Trademark rights (excluding the US and Canada) from ChipsAway Inc. of Pittsburgh, in a multi-million dollar deal signed this week.  Operations in the US and Canada remain under the control of ChipsAway Inc.

The deal, which was partly funded by Lloyds TSB Commercial, consolidates ChipsAway’s position as the largest franchise organisation of its type in the world and gives the UK, ownership of the company’s unique paint repair formulations.

Commenting on the acquisition, Chairman of ChipsAway International, Roger Wild said, “This is a massive step forward for ChipsAway International and is the result of many years of hard work. The ChipsAway brand is already well known across Europe and the ownership of the mark will improve opportunities to develop promising commercial prospects currently under consideration in many different parts of the world.”

The unique ChipsAway SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology) repair system, enables automotive paintwork to be repaired by a trained technician to factory finish standard, in a fraction of the time taken by a traditional body shop, and at a highly competitive price. With 33 million cars on the road in the UK and around 15 million repair opportunities at any one time, clearly ChipsAway has hardly ‘scratched the surface’ of this vast marketplace.

Recentelijk voerde een gerenommeerd onderzoeksinstituut uit Delft een onderzoek uit voor Nederland. Ook hier zijn de resultaten goed. De producten en methoden van ChipsAway voldoen volgens het onderzoek ruimschoots aan de geldende (Arbo-)eisen.
